On easter 2003 we made a short trip to the lovely locality of Bremm in the nice valley of the Moselle.

As often before during our short breaks the weather gods again were on our side - no rain, but sunny and warm as it should be during holidays. Bremm is well-known for having the steepest vineyard within Europe which is called Calmond. You can walk along the Calmond fixed rope route through this vineyard. You need alpine boots, a good physical condition, and have to be free of dizziness.

We nearly had all these pre-conditions, thus we started to climb the rope way. But as the way became narrower and steeper - and the abyss deeper and deeper - we decided to abort the climb. The height vertigo was stronger... we even could not enjoy the view no more.
We quit the rope route and used other hiking trails for our daily trip. At night we lived the life of Riley: half a pint of wine (or maybe a bit more) as starter. As main dish we enjoyed the exotic plate with ostrich beef, crocodile steak and cangaroo roast. A great and somewhat strange pleasure. When walking home, Klaus was boozed overeaten on exotic meat and started singing.
... and some bottles of wine found their way home to us.
