The Netherlands - Julianadorp (turn of year 2006 - 2007)
| We spent the New Year's Eve 2006 (and some more days) in Julianadorp / Netherlands. Julianadorp an Zee is located north-west in the district of Noordholland quite near to Den Helder. The wide-ranging seaside resort is located directly behind the dunes of the North Sea. We had hired a small bungalow for 6 or 7 days. |   |

During the days we walked along the beach - alternating veering toward Den Helder or toward Callantsoog, dependant from which direction the wind came. (Actually, we had head wind all the time. This fact seems to be one of the unsolved miracles of the present). Anyway, it was great enjoying the stiff breeze. |
| The more wind came up the more comfortable it was sitting by the fireside at night. We two love-birds enjoyed the crackling fireside and the romantic athmosphere, and the weather outside couldn't do any harm to us. |

For New Year's eve we brought along a good bottle of wine (or two...) from the Moselle and made a raclette meal party. We wined and dined like hell for leather. A romantic change of year - we will keep this evening in mind for long.
