| This time we spent our vacation in Hemera hotel which is located near Side (distance by bus from the airport to Side: app. 1 hour). After we had checked in we entered the room. It wasn't to our pleasure on first sight: the view was to the land side - no ocean or pool view. Later it turned out that this was a big advantage: we didn't hear the noise from the pool bar which was exceptional loud. It was a blessing in disguise that we did not claim this room! Despite the noise the hotel complex is really wonderful and wide-ranging. Many flowers, palm trees and bushes give colour and shade.

| We had our meals outside on the spacy terrace of the restaurant. The food was really splendid. We would always come back just for the delicious food. | |

On two evenings we had our diner with a deluxe buffet outside within the big garden. A princely diner! No wonder that our trousers were very tight-fitting on the return flight... |
| By walking through the hotel park we reached the beach. The sun beds weren't placed as narrow as can be seen in many other hotels. The beach bar was quite nearby so we regularly took the chance to get a coffee or a soft drink (of course, all included). | ![]() |
| We took a book along with us to the beach and read for a while. Or we simply watched the people walking along the beach to Side. We also went to Side. It takes app. 1/2 an hour to get there by feet. One can shop to the extent in Side. As tourist you will be addressed by the local salesmen of course. You should stay friendly and say "No thanks" - they will understand (for a while). After visiting the antique ruins we went back to the hotel - the bags were full, and the purse was empty. A further shopping tour led us to Manavgat market. We took the dolmus (small turkish buses) to get there. The trip there as well as the market itself are kind of event! You may get anything on this huge market - especially all sorts of "genuine 'turkish' brands" like Adidas or Louis Vitton at a cheeeeaaap price. Of course we advise against buying such so-called genuine goods as you may really get into trouble at the turkish customs. (Whilst the quality of these goods as not as bad!). A must: don't forget to bargain! |

As a summary we can say that we had 14 relaxing days in this hotel with its great cuisine.
