Tunisia - Hammamet - Magic Life Africana Imperial (Sep 2006)

As we enjoyed very much our last vacation in a Magic Life club we decided again to book a vacation in one of those leisure clubs. Our choice was Magic Life Africana Imperial.

After a non-problematic and quick check-in we were led to our room through various hallways and lobbies.

The room was really very spacy. Nevertheless it couldn't hide the fact that this club had some severe inadequatenesses.

The hotel park was smaller than expected, but easy on the eyes. We had a choice between two pools, or you could rest on various sunbathing areas.

As far as possible we rested on the beach although it was not as clean as designated. Magic life club beaches are cleaner usually!

Frequently stormy weather came up, and the beach was closed, or swimming was forbidden. Huge waves came to the shore and flooded the beach. On such days we lay within one of the sunbathing areas in the hotel park, the ocean in sight. At such occasions we dozed, read a book, looked into the sky, bantered with each other, or played with one of the many kitten and cats running around. The cats even had their own bar.

Unfortunately bumble bee got some gastro-intestinal disease right at the start of the vacation. For some days she even had to stay in bed and could not join the meals. Thus, the wolf had to dine for himself. No wonder he disliked the food. Bumble bee's weight was reduced by 4 kgs during this holidays.

Twice we visited the nearby town of Hammamet. You will find a nice, broad promenade with shops and also a harbor (Yasemin). But this promenade borders on a multitrack road which can only be crossed under danger for the pedestrian's life. Hold the column or it will fall.CLICK BIG

Summarizing, we would say that this vacation did not appeal to us in any way. Food was not really brackish. The hotel complex was not run-down. The staff was friendly. But we have seen better, bigger, more handsome facilities. A classification into the Magic Life - "IMPERIAL" - class is not justified in our opinion. Likely we will never stay again in a Magic-Life-Club in Tunisia.

Hookah. Not so good. My opinion as smokerCLICK BIG  2 "locals" with their "joint"
